I like your Colt SAA's, but I share General Patton's thoughts on pearl handle grips

Texas Rangers and other lawmen from the 1890s and well into the 1900s especially liked and used Pearl grips on their working Colts. Usually with carved steer or oxen heads. While many are pretty worn and chipped now, they obviously held up well in service. Also, Wolf & Klar supplied them with engraved S&W .44 Specials with carved Pearl grips. It would be very unhealthy to call them pimps to their faces.Comment

I like all of the materials you mentioned, just not Pearl.
They can take it up with Patton. But I will retain my personal opinion, this is still America. As such, feel free to put pearl grips on whatever you'd like.Texas Rangers and other lawmen from the 1890s and well into the 1900s especially liked and used Pearl grips on their working Colts. My favorite is sambar stag, especially older darkened ones. they were only $35 in the early 80s. Luckily I hung on to a bunch from that era. Now they cost as much or more than ivory did back then.Comment
