Most, if not all of those AD issues have been fully stock P320s, so while I would normally agree that there's a bit of a risk messing with trigger systems, on the P320,not so much.

FWIW the Agency trigger with a Glock style safety feels great, nice crisp break, lighter pull weight, and seems to solve the 320's problems.

The problem also apparently exists in the M18, with the manual safety and that were recently manufactured. There were a few recent Army ones I heard about, although, to be clear, I do not have all of the details. Only that it was fully in the holster, with no restrictions and the Soldier did not, in any way, touch the trigger. But I'm still looking for info on it, since my unit just got the latest batch of M18s.

I have several P320 X proffesional series pistols. Never had any issues other then still getting used to the trigger. Qualified with couple of them on duty , off duty etc. Carefully reading about all the incidents, I noticed a patern. Gun discharged while in the holster ,which obviously means that person carrying the gun was right there. Never heard of P320 going off by itself in a gun locker , on night stand, at the range , etc. Any thoughts?

They are going off while being carried but bumped or jolted. Your point is a false equivalence.

There are couple things that come to mind. P320 does not have a TRIGGER SAFETY like a Glock. Also , I heard that the striker system is bit different.

The issue, as noted, had something to do with the striker engagement, which would explain the going off with a jolt. I thought it had something to do with why Sig introduced the manual safety on the pistol.

I don't have a lot of information, but I've seen the internals of a 320. Seems kind of complicated. I'm just wondering if the internal complications might be a sign of it. It doesn't take many cases to create an issue. Just a thought. Like I mentioned elsewhere...I'm a huge Sig fan. But perhaps this one might be a little bit of an issue.

I'm wondering if it might have to do with the fact that they won the new contract after Beretta and needed to catch up on production.

Glocks are partially cocked while the P320 are fully cocked like PPQs

Wouldn't have mean there is more tension somewhere in the mechanism?

That tension cause more wear on something.

It's not wear, it's a bad design choice made in pursuit of better trigger feel. The extra tension means when it slips it has enough force behind it to ignite a primer, where-as Glock would more than likely light-strike, if it somehow got past the safety plunger anyway.

Speaking of safety plungers, the Sig striker block is questionable at best, tiny little tab that barely even grabs a protrusion on the striker.

The more I fiddle with it, the more adding a trigger safety seems to be the missing piece of the puzzle with a Sig, the thumb safety still allows things to move around inside the gun just enough to blow your ding-a-ling off.

Just like glock leg was abundant when glocks came out.

There is nothing wrong with the p320.

Check out Robert Burke / The Sig Armorer. I have his competition action job and it totally transformed the gun - light, crisp break. I'd do the carry action job for anything other than competition use.

Sig has a trigger "upgrade" on the P320 to reduce the mass of the trigger. They don't admit that the ADs in some drops were caused by enough momentum of the heavier trigger parts to "pull" the trigger if dropped or fell on at the wrong angle, but the voluntary recall and redesign for future production says a lot. Keep this in mind with an aftermarket trigger.

The recall from Sig was just a giant coincidence then.
