    Gold plating a desert eagle

Since gold plated desert eagles aren't CA legal, does anyone know where I can get a CA legal one gold plated? (I'm assuming the chrome ones would be the best candidate). Doesn't really matter if it impairs the gun's functionality, it'd just be a showpiece.

It should look great as long as you never handle it again.
If you shoot it that soft gold will wear off quickly.

If you intend to handle, show it off or shoot it consider a clear coat over the gold to preserve it.

Didn't one of Saddam's sons have a gold plated gun (can't remember if it was a DE or AK, maybe both)?

There was a gun shop/gunsmith in La Habra he closed down but was still doing business @ gunshows. He refinished a 22 Rev that was my dad's, it looked like black crome & when I picked them up seen a pair of 45 gold plated he was doing...art work. American Firearms & Gunsmith Jan Merson gunsmith1911@gmail.com Had an old card of his.
