Which Colt 9mm 1911?

Does the Trophy have a serrated flat top slide? Because the NatMatch does.
If it was just about asthetics and making holes in paper I'd go with the National Match. If I was going to carry it or use it in a run/gun shooting sport, then the Trophy.Last edited by SkyHawk; 11-26-2022, 5:09 PM. -
The Trophy has a smooth rounded top.

Well, you asked so…Trophy
I have a love for Stainless 1911s and have several, including a 9mm SA Loaded that is a very nice shooter…and looks good too. Like that Trophy, my Loaded has a FO front site and adjustable rear as well which I like for my aging eyes.
Not sure you could go bad with either…both fine guns. Good luck OP.Wilson Protector .45, Springer 9mm Loaded, Franchi Instinct SL .12ga. and some other cool stuff for the kiddos...Comment

That National Match is gorgeous but only because I love the National Match pistols from the late 60sPrevious iTrader rating, over 150 Positive ratingsComment

I would go with the Gold cup trophy because it has the beaver tail grip safety and the magwell that and I like stainless also. I was looking at both guns on the Colt website and besides the hammer, grip safety and the finish the only difference is the adjustable trigger which can be added to the Gold cup. The website says both have the same barrel. Also the price for the Gold cup was cheaper. It all depends on what you like as in the finish, hammer and grip safety. Here's what I was looking at on their website. https://colthandguns.com/product/gold-cup-9mm/

The first link is for the “Gold Cup”, which has no grip serrations or a mag well:I would go with the Gold cup trophy because it has the beaver tail grip safety and the magwell that and I like stainless also. Although the slide says “Gold Cup Trophy”, it is different than this one: https://colthandguns.com/product/gold-cup-trophy-9mm/

But, yeah, sounds like the votes for the stainless gun is running 4 to 1 right now

If you're a fan of the old school - blued steel and wood grips, there is only one answer.
