technique rested shooting at an indoor range?

I'm interested in doing some shooting from a rest with each of my handguns. But the layout of most stalls at indoor ranges don't make it easy. Take my favorite range, Jackson Arms. The shooting stall table is a little below chest height. I can't sit down and shoot the gun on a rest because the table's too high. I'm forced into an uncomfortable position hunched over the table with my legs splayed out behind me. Found this pic on google of the shooting stalls at JA

    Tips or ideas?

Will they let you take a little stool in if they don't have one available? How about stacking some ammo cans to sit on?

They have steel folding chairs but the table ends up too high. Hmmm maybe the ammo cans will work.

Depends on how big your bag is. My suggestion is to place the slimmer part of the bag towards you and then resting hand on it.

CF, I shoot at JA too, and have thought about a rest, as well, to help my wife out as she's new to this, though i could use it as well. My thought was to adapt a spotting scope or camera tripod in some manner. I think the tables are of enough area to accomodate a tripod's legs when opened. Plus, they are not that much to lug around.
