Where's all the .38 Special Wadcutter ammo?

Now looking for .38 Special, standard pressure, 148gr ... and not having much luck.

Am I going to have to order it online?

Maybe learn to reload and you won't have to ask the question again.

Jeez go easy on the poor guy. Yeah it's hard to find and yeah reloading is the best bet, but reloading isn't for everyone.

Also, some people may not have the space needed for a reloading.

Not to mention Primers are scarce and far more expensive

            Hand press!

I was that guy that said I have zero interest in reloading, I reload now. Everything fits inside a banker's box.

38 sp and 357 mag, I surrendered to those two for my last cartridges. Once I run out of my other calibers those two are it. I drew the line at 20 cents per round, not paying more. I'll reload for the rest of my life!

If you do order from them, order 4 boxes, it's the best deal when you combine shipping. Its $16.00 to ship 1-4 boxes. Your mail carrier will appreciate the 4 boxes
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

                Reloading takes almost no space.
Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

Yes, hand press is where it's at if you don't have space. And .38SPC is a great load for a beginning reloader. I started out with a hand press and .38SPC. If you don't need a lot of rounds, hand press is great.

Online is probably your best bet (ammoseek); I haven't seen any 148gr locally in the past few years.

Current online prices range from $37 to $49/box.
As other folks are saying on here, try to get into reloading. It'll definitely pay for itself in the long run.

I've shot 2000 rounds of that crap in the last few months. I think I shot the last of it.

Dang stuff is like black powder. It leaves so much smoke it is crazy. If you shoot it indoors, people hate you. I wish you posted a few months back.

Although, I must say, absolutely zero recoil in a 6" Rossi full lug .357 magnum. for punching holes in paper, it can't be beat in a handgun.

it's become scarce and costly; might have more luck sourcing components to reload it.

The berry's plated hbwc bullets are great. They shoot clean with no lube and no big weird smoke cloud. Easy cleanup too.

                            OP,

What sparked your interest in 38 Special wadcutters?

Wadcutters now aren't a supply and demand thing, they are a demand then supply thing.
