    Taurus 44 mag

hey guys i bought a 6 inch 44 mag made by Taurus. 44SS6 is the model. My neighbor is bugging me to sell it to him. hes trying to pin me on a price so i told him mabey 400$. is that a fair price. i dont need to sell it In fact I like the handgun a lot. I jsut dont shoot it often cause its expensive to shoot so its sort of well if it goes Im not gonna be too sad about it ( sort of on the fence abotu keeping it or selling it). I told him he can get a new one from a gun shop but he keeps saying he wants mine. I was gonna sell it at one time but I changed my mind. he keeps bugging me about it. I finally told him Ill think about it. is that a fair price if I were to sell it to him?
    Thanx

Depending on what kind of condition yours is in I would say 70-90% of what he would have to pay for a brand new one.

I like to use 75% of new as a good rule for a nice, sharp, low mileage used gun.

The other thing you should do is look up the model on the big auction/sales sites and see what they're listing for and what they're selling for.

Just a question, if he's so adamnant about buying yours?
Is he trying to do this in CA w/o involving a dealer?
          If so, run!
Seems to me if he likes one so bad he can just buy a new one at a shop.

Not sure why hes so adamant about it. But he really sunk his teeth in it. He hasnt come out and said anything like heres 400 $ now give me the gun but he hinted about him being a little wild in his youth. hes 45 now 3 kids owns a construction company. I dont know tons of gun laws but I know if I were to sell it it would have to be reregistered in his name otherwise no sale.
Im nost liekly gonna keep it. I only shot about 30 rounds through the gun. It stays in the gun safe99% of the time. I usually take a 9mm when I go on long trips or hunting. The 44 may look impressive but man is that thing heavy
