Wheel guns + Snap Caps ??

I've never owned a wheel-gun, but that's about to change.

Should I pick up some Snap Caps for use with it?

    Thx.

Why not? I have some .38sp for my mine. Comes in handy for trying reloads using a speed loader.

Have a bunch in 9mm and .45acp too.

Never hurts and with wheelguns they incur no wear to the rims from use and they are also good for training new users the basics of revolver loading/unloading

        Yes. Try the AZoom ones.

          A-zoom are the best IMHO.
The company has changed hands at least once. In their early days, they help sponsor the International Revolver Championship.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

If you’re getting a .22 wheel gun use snap caps always when dry firing.

DO NOT dry fire .22's. Listen to Garv above. Other caliber should be ok.

Pretty sure that happened about 50 years ago.

^ this. i was also told (or maybe recommended) to use snap caps for revolvers with hammer-mounted firing pins.

Forty years ago, my dad let me handle his unloaded 1870s S&W New Model 3 44 Russian. I carelessly dropped the hammer and he almost smacked me at age 30, like I was still a careless child, lol.

Just for old advertisement shenanigans, is Charter still using beryllium firing pins?

Snap caps are a fine idea. You also can use spent shells if you like. An old greybeard who'd been shooting for decades taught me the latter trick.

Actually, snap caps are a good idea for helping you get rid of any flinch you might have. What I did to get rid of mine was (while looking away) spin the cylinder and randomly put in a live round, then spin the cylinder again and put in a live round, then spin the cylinder and put in a dud round, and so on until the chambers were all full. Finally, I spun the cylinder and closed it. This way, I didn't know where the live rounds were, nor the specific order of them in the cylinder. Three duds, three live rounds, basically randomized.

Time to fire. Round goes "click" and I see the gun move, I'm flinching. I don't know if there's a live round next or not, and so on through the cylinder until the very last round. It's a good test, and I worked on flinching this way at least three times a week, and usually five times a week, for about a year. My flinch went bye-bye, and it helped my marksmanship greatly, to this day.

I've been using Hillman 4-6-8 x 7/8" Drywall Anchors in my Smith & Wesson Model 17. Cheap and they work great. They seem to last a bit longer than the standard orange plastic snaps caps for .22
