    Correct puncuation helps.

With that, have her sign up to a basic handgun class at your local range.

      Could you mean punctuation?

      =)

Agree on the handgun safety class.

My sister has the same problem. Shooting pistols, it shouldn't have much of an effect shooting with the left eye, but I know she has problems using the scope on my .22lr rifle. You could teach her to close the left eye when shooting, to trick herself into shooting with her right eye.

im left handed and right eye dominant and ive not had a problem sighting with my right eye while using handguns. rifles on the other hand is a different story. i have to shoot them right handed cuz i actually have a harder time acquiring a sight picture with the left eye and trying to cross my head over the rifle far enough to use my right eye is just to awkward.

if its working for her then there's no need to try and change it.

I grew up shooting with my right eye and right hand (right hand dominant) until I was a senior in HS. I found out then that I was left eye dominant. I decided to try shooting left-handed and have been doing so ever since. I still shoot right-handed from time to time, but I have become very comfortable shooting as a lefty and prefer to do so. If your wife is comfortable, however, shooting just the way she is doing now, I don't see a problem. Wouldn't hurt to have her try left-handed and see how she likes it.

My wife found the same to be true when she began shooting. She trained her right eye by using masking tape (or a patch) over the left lens of her safety glasses. Now, she is able to shoot both eyes open and switch focus between eyes as-needed depending on target and position.

Why some people care I don't know. I find it funny when people point out others mistakes as they make one them-self.

Don't let it push you away calguns is a great site.

I am also right hand/left eye. I find that I shoot to the left when keeping both eyes open using the front sight. I close my left and get better, but don't see this as a benefit in a self defense/tactical situation. I will be trying the patch thing to hope to correct this.

There should be a hunting season on the grammar police.

My wife is the same way, so she usually just closes her left eye. Because of this issue though, she prefers shooting scoped rifles to pistols.

I've also read where right handed shooters can cant the gun to the left so that they use their dominant eye for sighting. I don't know how well that actually works though.

                            Or maybe Grammar Nazi

I would say a gun class would be a good idea regardless of hand/eye dominance.
