1911 Grips

Hey all,

I have a couple of 1911's (Kimber) with some diamond pattern grips and kind of have a rubbery coating to them that I really like. They have no branding on them.

I just ordered and put on a pair of VZ grips on another 1911 that I thought might be the same, but they are not. They're nice, but I like that rubbery texture to them.

Does anyone happen to know the brand the rubbery coating ones are?

I have a 1911 that came with these grips. I took mine off shortly after buying the firearm, but think there is some sort of solid insert inside those grips with a fairly soft, thick rubber covering. For whatever reason I love the stock rubber grips that originally came on my CZ's but felt like the Kimber rubber grips were too soft/spongy.

I've wasted money on several rubber grips like Pearce, Hogue, Pachmyer Grippers.

The MOST COMFORTABLE rubber grips you can buy are those from Kimber Inc. itself. They are rubber but not tacky, and has that satisfying " meat " to them.
