    XD CCW holsters

What are you guys using to CCW carry your XD's?
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

I don't have an xd but I carry my G19 in an MTAC and it is the most comfortable IWB holster I have ever used.

      Is it like this model?

        Yep.

I use the MTAC and have bodies for six different guns. I like it a lot. I use their belt that is Kydex Reinforced and has velcro on the inside. The velcro clips work great, especially if going tucked in, nothing to see on the belt.

My Galco holsters sit in a drawer now.

The grip doesn't rub on your back? I know some IWB holsters have high leather to cover the grip.

              Not really, no.

Against all my hard work this year I am still thick in the middle (this is changing, but progress has slowed) and I don't have any issues.

The grip makes contact with my skin, but doesn't really rub me, there's not a whole lot of motion going on there and it keeps the gun very close. I would assume that if you had rubbing and had leather there, you would also get rubbed by the leather.

              Here's the back:

I carry my 5 in tactical model in this...

Greebo, as a matter of feline pride, would attempt to fight or rape absolutely anything, up to and including a four-horse logging wagon. Ferocious dogs would whine and hide under the stairs when Greebo sauntered down the street. Foxes Kept away from the village. Wolves made a detour. Terry Pratchett

Holsters for my XD service model:
Galco FLETCH high ride (has snap retention) OWB
                    Blackhawk SERPA OWB
Bianchi Accumold 15A with snap retention snap OWB
the issued XD Extreme Gear (Fobus) paddle OWB
                    Bladetech custom OWB

                    Galco products really are nice...

While I don't own any IWBs for it, I do for other pistols including the Milt Sparks, Bladetech and Blackhawk leather ones.

Just a FYI, the XD will not fit in a G19/G17/or G21 holster and the mags are too small in a Glock 9mm mag pouch! It will force fit into a G21 leather holster, but I would not trust my life to that setup. The holster must fit.

Understand that and I wasn't suggesting doing so. Just relaying that the MTAC is the most comfortable IWB holster I've ever used and it's offered with the proper body to fit an XD.

I would go for a Crossbreed Supertuck for the XD. I just got one for my G26 and it's great. I own an XD 4" as well and wouldn't mind putting it into a Supertuck.

I have a crossbreed supertuck for subcompact xd.40 and I can also use it with my 4" .45. I would recommend the holster and the service at crossbreed. Though I do wish I had tried the MTAC as well, it looks nice as well.

I use an Akj iwb for my XD sub-compact .40. It has worked well every day for a year but I haven't used any other holster. Most of the time, I forget I am carrying it. www.concealco.com
