Do we have a list of what's CA legal and not?
Sam, if it's December 1941 in Casablanca, what time is it in New York? I bet they're asleep in New York. I bet they're asleep all over America.Tags: None -

On a more serious note, are you wanting to buy from out of state?
The second chart is for rifles, not CA handguns.Originally posted by Kestryll:

No, sorry to rub anyone the wrong way, but I just moved to South Carolina and today I bought a Sig 365 SAS. I was wondering if I could have bought in in CA, but I had never heard of them until today.https://www.oag.ca.gov/firearms/cert...andguns/search

It's not on the California Roster of "Not Unsafe Handguns".
Therefore, as a non-exempt California citizen, per from the Roster, purchasing from a CA dealer as new or used dealer inventory - No, you could not.
However, you might have been able to find one for sale by way of Private Party Transfer or on consignment at a dealer, from a prior owner in CA, the sale conducted at a dealer, but have paid 4-times the cost of the purchase in South Carolina.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment

Nah, no offense taken, just confused to your question.
Looks like you do not hang out in our Marketplace enough.
Plenty of 365s for sale here, just 4x the free state price as stated above.
Some LEOs can buy them and resell.
People move here from free states and sell off roster items.
Out of state direct family (parents, children, grandparents) can gift off roster to CA family members. (mags 10 round max, no threaded barrel (an exception or two), and some size requirements.
Congrats on your move and the 365SAS, buy more freedom, just don't brag too much here.

And, let us once again distinguish between 'on-Roster' and 'legal'; those are not the same thing.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment
