Any Springfield Armory XD-9 Sub compact CCW fans?

I had one. It was great. Only reason I sold it was to fund a XDS45. I prefer single stacks for CCW. -
I bought my first XD-9 when they hit the market. My EDC is the 3" i found it's the perfect combination of all that i need. The early models like mine did have a recall for poor bluing, I didn't choose to send it back to Springfield. As a result and 20+ years forward its not a looker any longer. Yes i own Glocks, Sigs etc, but I'm most proficient with this ole guy.Comment

I love the XD lineup! Big Springfield fan as well. My first gun was a Loaded 1911. Afterwards, I got an XD-m 45 4.5" Service model. Currently own the regular XD45 Service model and an XD9 Service model. I have plans on getting an XD9 Subcompact, but not at todays prices. I bought a standard capacity 13 rounder during Freedom Week for it and still have yet to buy the gun! Wife used to have a G19 (Gen 4) a number of years back. It was tough to get used to it. Never liked the trigger much. Always found myself pushing shots WAY left and my groupings were horrible, a problem I don't have with any other gun. Every other gun we've had was easier, more comfortable and shot better than the G19-Sig SP2022, Shield, XD9, XD45, XD-m 45, SA 1911 Loaded and my Les Baer 1911. We've rented tons of guns too over the years. Even the EMP 3" was easier to shoot.
And, this doesn't even take into account the dozens of malfunctions we had with JHP mags. We tried a TON of things to get it to not jam-new followers, even standard capacity mags blocked to 10 rounds. What an expensive experiment that was. Sold it for what we paid for it after a thousand rounds and countless range days as well as a 4 day pistol class.

I don't have a ccw in CA
and haven't ccw'd it anywhere else either, but I have a xd9 service with 16 rd mags. I love my xd9. I originally tried a g34, and I will get one, someday, but I just wasn't a fan of the finger nubs or the angle of the grip"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.
CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ QuietComment
