hello. I'm new here . I'm trying to find any type of information on a factory colt mark4 series 80 9mm conversion unit. It converts a series 80 colt in .45acp into a 9mm parebellum. I really appreciate any help thanks again

Unless you post good pictures of exactly what you have including any packaging and papers, you are not going to get very good info
The military did not use Series 80 1911s, so no.Comment

Have you used it? How well does it function? I don't have a series 80 to put it on.thanksComment

Appreciate the information Im not sure how to tag SKY HAWK. I actually don't even have a colt I was wondering if I should keep it ,or trade/sell it but have no idea the realistic value . The guy from the military store asked his friend and he said about 1.500 to a collecter but didn't have any info other than there pretty rare seen the .22 conversions for 6 to12 and they aren't nearly as rare ,I think.Comment

We need to see good pictures of the item and also any packaging and/or paperwork included to help you determine the value.Appreciate the information Im not sure how to tag SKY HAWK. When it comes to Colt and collectors, the condition means everything and having original packaging can also make a big $$ differenceComment

Here a whole gun and conversion kit went for $2k
So $1500 may be a stretch unless it is in pristine condition.
Also, is it a government length slide or commander length?
Posting a few good pics can answer a hundred questionsComment

The side opposite of the ejector says "colt mk 4" the 4 is in romen numerals, below it says "series80" and a dancing colt to the right of that. Ejection side says "9mm conversion unit" that's it ,no other markings on the slide. The barrel is marked "cal.9mm" and " -PARRABELLUM-" underneath. It has adjustable rear sights, that adjust elevation and windage, a flat top that resembles a colt gold cup, angled serrated slde and serrated flat topLast edited by dave the boar; 06-02-2022, 3:26 PM.Comment

I just want to see what mods Colt did to the 9mm barrel to make it work with the 45ACP ramp on the frame. Can you remove the barrel then stick a live 9mm round in the chamber, take a pic of the unsupported area of the 9mm web area. The wise man said just find your place
