What should I get a Glock in .40 or An XD in .40? Pros and cons

both are great guns...
both can use a 9mm barrel to give you 2 calibers.
you cant lose out on either...
XD does not come with Rough Texture though.. so if you want a grippy grip you might have to stick with the Glock
I have a XD9 -
Chevy Silverado or Ford F-Series?
Wouldn't you want to test drive each one before you buy?
Find a range with both guns for rent.Comment

Glock 27, 23 or 22? I love my 23. XD's look somewhat Wide/Tall in the slide area, not that is has anything to do with performance.
You don't want people to mistake you for shooting a Hi-Point...........

I own two glocks and have owned a XD40.
The glock IMHO is fool prrof, easy to take care of and break down. Lots of aftermarket parts, safe action trigger, but no external safety ( which I prefer) Lighter then the XD and the slide retention is alot easier on the glock to rack.
The XD feels very nice in my hand, has a grip saftey like the 1911's , breaks down eaily like the glock and aftermarket parts are readly available. IMHO the XD is a little on the heavy side but still a great pistol.

Up to you, some like Glocks, others prefer XDs.
I've never warmed up to the XD, so my preference is towards Glocks.

What works for one person may be wrong for another and everyone is different. Get to a range and rent both and shoot them. The one you shoot the best with is the one you should get.

I like XD.
Mine is the most accurate out-of-the-box semi pistol I have ever owned.
I also like that it has a more solid feel to it than a Glock.
But hey, your choice. Shoot a couple of hundred rounds through both and take the one you like the best.Comment
