the bent piece of the metal is the ejector I believe. the 9mm ejectors are like that, .40 are straight, and .45 ejectors are elongated S shaped.Last edited by CalNRA; 07-06-2009, 4:04 AM.Originally posted by cvigueThis is not rocket surgery.Comment

69Mach1 covered that in his first post. Since it's clear you didn't check out the link he posted, I will quote someone from that link:
Normal. The "seated" position is there so the spring assembly will be securely in place for reassembly--it is not the normal position of the spring assembly during operation.quemadmodum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est. - Lucius Annaeus

Yes, totally normal. That IS the right spot/notch. You're pushing it in too far when you put it back together, but I don't think it will hurt anything. The spring floats into that spot on its own even if you don't get it exactly set when re-assembling.Originally posted by DaffsbroHow about the spring, when I field strip it it is not in the right notch, I set it to the right notch put it back together test it out then strip it again and its in the wrong spot again. It wont stay? Normal or not normal.Comment
