The Cobra Patriot was on roster for a long time….

Also don’t discount the Kahr PM45, it’s a great shooter too.

Glock 30S, I carry it a lot more than a 1911 and a little less than the G43X. IMO it is a very ideal carry gun in CA and certainly among the best .45 subcompact carry guns

If off-roster is an option for you, I would recommend the S&W Shield 45.

          Kahr P45, and it'll take 7-round 1911 officers mags

          I regret selling mine

Kahr P45 is the perfect conceal carry 45acp. Only thing you may need to do to make it more perfect is traction grip tape because the factory checkering is pretty aggressive, The TractionGrips rubber tape makes it better. Adding night sights is good too, idk if CA model has them or not but mine did not.

Big fan of 1911's but for easy, light carry a hammerless .38 works for me.

I carry a colt officers model .45 but the weight is an issue.
Summer shorts and t shirt dictates a .38 snubbie.
The colt really is easy to shoot and recoil is not an issue

                        Amazing website!! Thanks OldManDan!

I handled the glock30sf yesterday.. $749 tag, $649 cash, special California pricing of course. Big-box stores are marked down even more, but I refuse to wait in line, and be promised stock that doesn't exist. Evidently the glock36 has some variants made in different locations some are on-roster, others are not, thus the confusion. Generally unobtainable in this state.

I'm not LEO, and none of my LEO friends are willing to sell, so the roster applies to me :/

I checked out all of your suggestions guys - thank you!!

I love my 30sf. My accuracy (or lack there of) with it is about the same as my Glock 19. Also, I have the 9 and 10 round mags for it and much prefer the 10 rounder because having an extra finger on the grip really helps with the control imo.

                              Hunt around for a S&W model 457.

They're out of production but an excellent compact 45acp.

3rd generation, flat, easy to carry.

I used to own a Glock 30, and I changed to a Sig Sauer P227 SAS, and I have not regretted my decision. The SAS version is dehorned and more compact than the P227. Unfortunately, it is not on the roster, but they are available.
