Sportsman warehouse made me do it. On sale for 429, 50 bucks off with tax is 413. Dros another 37 bucks. 450 OTD is pretty dang cheap for a 1911. I know its a RIA but hey. At that price i had to lol.
Addictions are so hard to control at times. Not like i needed it.

Nice score. Ive heard great things about those RIA guns as a budget/project gun. I've been tempted a few times. I'm sort of glad that they closed down the sportsmans warehouse in milpitas. That alleviated a lot of temptations.

I think you will be happy with it. Buy a set of unissued USGI grips on ebay for $8, and a GI magazine or similar - it will be a pretty convincing GI clone. If you really want to splurge add a MSH with lanyard attachment - you can get a MSH with the loop cast in place fairly cheap, much cheaper than a GI MSH with a pinned loop.

I built one so I don't have to take my USGI 1911s out when I get the urge to shoot an old warhorse with crappy sights

Their screw down mil-spec white dot rear with the Series 70 narrow tenon front sight. I think around $35 or so.

At that price, if you don't like it you could probably sell it in the marketplace here for more than you bought it for.

So that's a win if you like it and a win if you don't like it situation.

I bought a RIA 1911 A2 DOUBLE STACK (10 rounds of .45), liked it so much I bought a second one. It will grow on you more and more...good buy OP.
