RIA Bankrupt?

For the past several months I've been attempting to contact Armscor by phone and through email but they never answer their phone and emails take weeks to get answered. So I started wondering why the sudden change, since I contacted Armscor on several occasions prior to 2020 and they always had good customer service, and found bankruptcy cases online from early 2021 against Armscor Cartridge and late 2021 against Armscor Precision Delaware which says the assets have been ordered to be liquidated to pay unsecured creditors.
Does anybody know if Armscor/RIA is bankrupt now?

I think I remember one of the members here had some kind of connection to Armscor / Rock Island Armory but that was at least three or more years ago, I think.

Anyway, I have no idea if there's any truth to this but this is one of the reasons that when I'm buying a brand new firearms I try to go with a brand that I feel is going to be around for at least 10 years or or hopefully much longer into the future.

Most firearms are durable products but sometimes there are lemons right from the factory but need to go back to the factory to be fixed to how it should have been made originally.
Sure you can fix some things yourself or pay a gunsmith to fix but sometimes sending it to the factory is the best option.

Once a company closes or goes bankrupt there's no chance of easy and fast factory service or repair.

You can get a cheap foreign-made shotgun from no name brand/unheard-of brand name/new company name but I wouldn't count on them being around for more than a few years before they change their name.

^Rock Island Armory is a brand name under Armscor.

Armscor Global Defense Inc (Philippines) only has one USA based subsidiary, Armscor International Inc based in Pahrump NV.

If the Armscor you are in contact with is not located in Marikina, Philippines or Pahrump, Nevada; then you are in contact with another company using the Armscor name.

It appears that the bankruptcy lawsuit is from one of Armscor's distributors, not Armscor itself. So why is Armscor not answering their phones, returning messages, and taking weeks to answer the wrong question by email? They used to have pretty good CS prior to 2020.

Armscor International Inc's social media sites were indicating they are currently operating under reduce staffing due to Nevada COVID restrictions and currently in the midst's of restructuring due to management changes.
^There are many complaints about their customer service going down hill because of this.

Probably because labor is in short supply and has been for a while. Combine that with increased demand for their products ans you could imagine how the existing staff could be spread really thin. I'm sure they'll help you as soon as they can, RIA has a rep for really good service in general.

FUD. I find it incredible that you announce that a bankruptcy court ordered Armscor to liquidate and then ask if Armscor is in bankruptcy? You need to stop spreading malicious falsehoods. Here are the facts.

There were two cases filed involving Armscor Cartridge in 2020. Armscor was a CREDITOR in one of the cases. The other involved a suit against Armscor by the Official Committee of Creditors of Xtreme Bullets. That case was settled in June 2021 for $25,000.

The Armscor Precision case is actually an adversary case arising from the bankruptcy of SportCo Holdings, Inc.. Sportco is alleging that Armscor and scores of other companies that dealt with Sportco have received preferential payments and are attempting to claw these payments back. That case is in mediation.

Restructuring due to management changes sounds to me like even though not yet they're close to bankruptcy. Hopefully not, or else that's my 3 RIA without parts for repairs if need be.

The restructuring has nothing to do with them avoiding bankruptcy and is primary due to staffing shortages.

My company recently did some restructuring due to Covid-related issues, and we've been experiencing double-digit percentage growth over the past 2 years.
We're literally growing as fast as ever and need to adapt to keep up.

I had a great experience with the CS at Armcor / RIA. They sent me a charging handle for free when mine went missing. They also offered me to have it shipped to them for inspection, which I kindly declined as the charging handle was removable.

I don't know about all this but I am thinking of getting back into a 1911 and RIA has my eye.
