CZ USA 75 B

Hey fellas, what's the word on this gun, I've been reading for years that you guys like the CZ guns. I'd like to get a SA (semi auto) with an exposed hammer.

CZ 75B and Beretta 92FS are both super solid steel guns. You can't go wrong with either of them.

The CZ 75B is a workhorse, and the Kadet .22lr conversion is awesome.
Consider a 75B as the 75B SA fetches a premium; send it to CGW and
customize it, or leave it in stock configuration. Either way they are GTG.

I would go for either the classic 75B or SP01. These are both double action/single action, but all you have to do is remove the disconnector and install a single action trigger ($40-50) and you will have a single action only pistol.

If you have an extra few hundred bucks to invest, I would strongly recommend throwing in a cajun gunworks package. This will give you a fantastic range toy. I have a cajunized 75D compact and everyone who's shot it at the range has loved it compared to their stock CZ's.

Good heavy steel framed guns with super gritty factory triggers. Used to be a decent deal about 10 years ago. Still cheaper than a 1911.

The CZ 75 is a great base gun to customize into a smooth shooter.

SP-01 is a soft shooter. Can shoot hundreds of rounds and feel no pain, unlike a Glock. The factory rubber grips that it comes with are the most comfortable grips I've experienced.

Not a fan of the 75B single action.

I think that current production cz models 2021 and up may have better actions out of the box.
No machining marks on critical parts and no more recurve trigger.
If you prefer the longer beaver tail then go for the cz 75b omega ( convertible) or an SP01..

You can modify and upgrade later as you appreciate!

If you want a fantastic shooting CZ SA only, out of the box, here are my picks:
1) TS or TS2 or TSO
2) Shadow 2 SA

The TS was available in Cali until CZ stopped manufacturing them. If you can find one, it has an awesome trigger right out of the box. I don’t know what you personally can purchase in Cali but the Shadow 2 SA is a sleeper. It just doesn’t get the press is should. Probably because of the competition rules limitation. However, the Shadow 2 SA has great ergos and really feels fantastic in your hands. It is a bulls-eye shooter just like the TS but feels lighter.

Not out of the box. The standard models like the 75b and SP01 need a lot of work to bring up to par with a Sig, Beretta or 1911. A Glock 34 is a better shooting gun out of the box.

I have eight CZs and they are all because of the 75b SAO. I had a small number of 1911s and I wanted to try something else. I went to a range and shot a SIG (don't remember the #), Beretta 92 and a CZ 75b. Out of the three the CZ fit, felt and shot the best for me. The main reason I went with the SAO was the frame deference (more beaver tail). I do have two 75Bs one with the Kadet kit on it (love it) and one I put a Bull Shadow upper on from CZC. My only suggestion to you is try shooting one. If you can shoot a factory one and find someone that has a modified one and try it. If the owner of the mod one did it right you won't be disappointed. Just my 10 cents (inflation). This one is my favorite 75b SAO with a TS upper.

Almost any handgun I buy is going to get some gunsmithing done because very few of them come as good as they can be from the factory. I have the CZ Tac Sport, 75B SAO and standard 75B. Great guns. The Tac Sport trigger is light enough that I'd use it only for competition or at the range. Really like all 3.

I fired a friend's 75BD (Decocker). It felt great in my smallish hands, and the weight helped greatly with muzzle flip. The trigger felt pretty smooth. I don't know if he customized it, but I sure liked it. Accuracy was excellent.

Either BD or B is on my short list.
