    Python Grip Preferences

I'm looking to purchase a rubber grip for my Python. My initial choice was the Hogue, but the Pachmayrs are so classy it's hard to ignore them. What are your preferences and why?
    Thanks in advance.

I sometimes use the Pach "Gripper" grip, the one with the finger grooves, it's pretty comfortable. Mine has the Colt medallions on it.

        Suggestion

When I got my Python it came with the rubber grips shown below. I think they are by Pachmeyer, and have a gold Colt logo emblem. They work well for those with larger hands, but I am thinking about getting some wood grips with finger grooves for the gun.

Badger makes some nice dymondwood laminated grips as shown below:

Pachmayr makes two grips- the one above, and the gripper one, with finger grooves. I don't know why, I but I always thought Hogue rubber grips don't look right at all on the Pythons. I'd pick one of the two pachmayrs, or go with a wood grip.

Actually Pachmayr made three there are two versions of the finger grove or Gripper grips, Gripper Pro witch has a open backstrap, and the regular Gripper which has a covered backstrap.

Yea, the backstrap on the Python is sexy. The pro is so kind to expose the Python's sensuous glory.

Has anyone actually used the Hogue's?

If you decide to go with wood, look for a pair of Python Elite type stocks like the ones I have on this E-nic, they are comfortable when shooting.
