Well, after buying all these guns lately it was about time to get out and shoot 'em! Fired a new Kahr CW9 (thanks yzernie!) that performed flawlessly through 100 rounds of WWB fmj. More accurate than I could shoot. My younger shooting buddy managed six shots all touching at the 7 yard line off-hand.
Next up was the Glock 17 Gen 3, also new, and the first polymer gun I have ever owned, being a GI 1911 traditionalist. Also functioned flawlessly, another 100 rds downrange. I was impressed with the feel and function.
Last up was a Ruger P345 I purchased used from a fellow CG'er. Figured a could use another .45 besides my Springfield GI 1911--one of the first ones Springfield came out with in the '80's and sold as a gunsmith "kit" gun that you assembled yourself. Well. the Ruger was said to have a couple hundred rounds through it, and it too functioned flawlessly, even with the extra Pro-Mag that came in te deal. This pistol proved to be very accurate for my shooting partner, and he again was able to put up a tight little group off-hand.
Tnree for three, all good.
To top it off, we went up to the rifle range and I put 100 rds through my new Ruger Mini-14 581-series. Love the iron sights on this new series Ruger. Too much heat and wind for me to really do much for accuracy, but a pleasure to shoot nonetheless.
That was yesterday, so today was gun cleaning day!
