New comp for a new non threaded barrel
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

so, only for Glock19? I'm not liking that they only advertise the recoil reduction for 115gr. It kind of makes no sense. Anybody that wants to use this in a carry gun, is not using 115. Anybody that wants this in any kind of competition gun, won't want it in a G19. Kind of a weird category to sell a product into.Comment

Lame..............
Total gimmick................
All that effort for a compact gun with a short barrel with a small compensator.
Who cares if it's removable if the attachment method is proprietary for a proprietary compensator. Just weld it if that's the case.
Give me the solution that lets me try multiple sizes and types of compensators. Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.Comment

If you weld it, how do you remove the barrel from the slide? Its not like there is a bushing to remove on a Glock to slide the barrel out the front of the slide like on a 1911.
So what if they only advertise recoil impacts for 115gr, do they say it won't work with other weight bullets?
It's currently only made for G19 and G17, but that does not mean they won't make it for other guns in the future if this new concept takes off.
Why so many negative Nancy's ? Oh yeah, CalGuns....Comment

Compensators redirect gasses out of the barrel and as such depend quite a bit on the details of the load. In competition, one develops a specific load for the specific compensator, which includes the slowest powders possible and (usually) lighter bullets at higher speeds.
It would be much scarier if they told you you had to use Vihtavuori 3N38 powder with a bullet with fully enclosed base, so they are just giving the very basic description of "works better with lighter bullets."
And pistol compensators are not used so much to reduce recoil (which is the role of those wide looking beasts on heavy-recoiling rifles), but to prevent muzzle raise so that the gun pushes straight back and the sights remain on the target for quick follow up shots. This is valuable in a 9mm, but you won't notice it if you shoot the usual static range style.sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment

^^^ This. Compensators in general are not gimmicks, but most are used incorrectly with factory loads, so people complain that they don't do anything. Yet, all competitors in USPSA Open division run a compensator even though they don't have to. Must be doing something...sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment

It's only illegal on semi-auto pistols having a detachable magazine that are not registered as Assault Weapons.
You can have a threaded barrel on a revolver.
You can have a threaded barrel on a semi-auto with a fixed magazine.
You can have a threaded barrel on a pistol that is an RAW.If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.Comment

Correct, as alwaysIt's only illegal on semi-auto pistols having a detachable magazine that are not registered as Assault Weapons.
You can have a threaded barrel on a revolver.
You can have a threaded barrel on a semi-auto with a fixed magazine.
You can have a threaded barrel on a pistol that is an RAW.
My comment was about "universal mount" and why these types of solutions pop up from time to time...

If you are making a gadget for a firearm, do you target only the small tiny percentage of the shooting population or you target the most popular, firearm with highest ownership in the country? BTW, the same firearm now with multiple companies making clones?so, only for Glock19? I'm not liking that they only advertise the recoil reduction for 115gr. It kind of makes no sense. To claim high reduction in recoil, it will need some volume of high pressure gas still available exiting the barrel. With same ammo, you will probably get more gas from a G19 then say G17 or G34.
It is basically a specially ported barrel with a nice housing around it. Nice packaging, aesthetically pleasing. I would definitely buy if I want a compensator.
To fit the housing to another firearm, they can now sell you other barrels....Comment

Yea, and it's not a single port compensator on a G19.
I applaud the effort to bypass the whole anti threaded thing, but no one seems to come up with a product design that isn't better than just welding a real compensator on a real barrel and gun set up.Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.Comment
