the one i've seen that people do with this situation is get an extra mk23 barrel and trim/turn the threads down.
Not sure if constructive possession of the factory barrel (being threaded) pertains here though.sigpicComment

I don't see one for MK23 but you can ask him. I got a non-threaded for my Tactical. kept the same look except for the threads. I sent my slide in for fitting. It's came back fitted tight, retains the same look and accuracy is on part with the factory barrel from the limited shooting I've done so far. around 1.5" at 25 yards sangbag with a couple of my reloads (230 Zero JHP & Nosler 185 JHP). Maybe I should do a range report on it... Conventional rifling lets you shoot lead bullets too.
