    Gunsmiths in So cal.

I need to install some night sites on a sig I just purchased. Does anyone know of a good gunsmith in the So cal or Orange county area?
    Thanks,
    G

Installing NS on a SIG is a pretty easy job, if you have the sight pusher. It can be considered a DIY job, but the sight pusher can be quite costly. If you have a few guns that you'll be working on, it might be worthwhile to invest in a sight pusher and do it yourself. Just my opinion....

You aren't too far away from Bain & Daves in San Gabriel.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

Try Bolsa Gunsmithing in Huntington Beach. They're on Bolsa, just north of the 405 (right by the big post office you can see from the freeway). I've been using them for a few years now. They charge about 50 bucks if you already have the sights.

They've also repaired a few guns for me. They are very nice.

Is it just me or are they extraordinarily slow to get some stuff done? They quoted me a week to put some night sights on a handgun. I understand that there's a bunch of guns to work on but how long does it take to put some sights on? Couldn't they do it while I waited, especially when they were going to charge me like $50 or something like that? And I was gonna buy sights from them too.

Brad at Ammo Bros. is good. Nice guy, but I have never used him for major work, so I can't say how his work is. For adding sights, I am sure he would do fine, and I got the impression he would be a great guy for anything.

Bolsa Gunsmithing might take a while and not be super cheap, but they do good work. They rescued a very beat up old revolver and turned it into something very nice at what I considered a fair price.
