Question about a Colt Python's value

Blue book values won't help much in CA, where Pythons can only be bought through PPT. They're a bit harder to get here than outside of the state.

There are plenty of Pythons for sale in California. I bet they are easier to find in California than out of state.

2 1/2 inchers and 4 inchers are unusual - but for a standard Python, $1000 is a nice baseline.

Of course, if you're these guys, you should offer the guy a premium - or else you're being dishonest....

I had one of my Python's reblued last year at Colt. Didn't come out as I would have liked. Went back and still the same issue. DON'T pay 1500 for a reblue. Be patient and look around they pop up from time to time. As for the one in front of you, i'd offer him 1100 if the blue is satisfactory to you. That's an awful nice collection you've got there. Do I see a couple of 3"ers on the right side?

Separate question that I'll start a thread about in a moment, have you tried the Hogue rubber grips on any of your Pythons? Thoughts? Compared to the Pachmyers?
