What do you consider large and dangerous game?

When I hear that term used, I know I'd prefer a large bore rifle round. I sure wouldn't want to be in brown bear country, or anything other critter that is considered large dangerous game with only a handgun especially a 9 or 357 sig.

Doesn’t sound like much of an improvement on the 10 MM except for speed. I changed from 44 magnum to 41 magnum because it was better penetration. I later changed to 10mm because of mag capacity and weight. Copper bullet performance may make future decisions for me.

IIRC, higher sectional densities are required for deeper penetration, a necessity for large and dangerous game. At 90 and 101 grain, I doubt it would penetrate deep enough or through thick bone. It sounds more like a self defense round for two legged predators to me.

The 7.62 Tokarev comes closer to the 7.5 than the Sig - 85 grains at about 1,650 fps. Fast light bullets may work well on people but on heavy muscled game requiring penetration, not so well.

I wouldn't use a conventional handgun round on anything "large and dangerous" unless I was hunting with someone who ran slower than me.

              AFAIK...

7.5x27mm FK was primarily designed as a flat shooting personal defense cartridge, for VIP security details in the Middle East, that could effectively hit and incapacitate human targets out to 150 meters.

It is not effective or recommend to be used on large game animals.
