    Glock 19 magwell options

    Hello All,

I was just curious if any of you guys/gals have used a magwell that didnt have ANY cons with magazine fitment. I want an affordable magwell that will work with any gen magazine. I had purchased the magpul one but it doesnt work well with all magazines. Also i have a stippled grid reduction Gen 3 G19.

What experience do you guys have with any brand. Its for a ccw so it dont need to be huge.

Look over these Glock 19 magwells from ~a year ago.

I personally chose the SLR brand (three times on three different gen and model Glocks):
    SLR Rifleworks, AR15, AK47, 9mm, Gas Blocks, Hand Guard, AR10, GLOCK, 9mm

The Gen5 mag basepad doesn't work well (too tight for my liking) with the Gen3 or Gen4 Glocks, however.

There is actually a very good thread on this topic. Mag wells don’t like to work with gen 3 much. I had one that mostly worked (but not 100%) but when I needed to use the gun for classes, I immediately ditched it. It was the Slr rifleworks gen 3 magwell.

I've had zev pro and pro plus, agency, Suarez, slr and overwatch precision. From my experience it can be gun dependent and mag dependent. Like my Slr likes 10 round mags but 10/17 mags don't drop free. But right now I've settled on OP cuz it seem like the ones I've gotten haven't had any issues dropping mags.

My Gen 3 G19 has an Agency Arms Magwell (Aluminum); I've had it for the past 8 months and haven't had issues with mags or other problems. This magwell has a slim profile and should work well as an EDC in my opinion. I paid around $100 for it and was worth the price to me.

I have an Agency Arms magwell and it works great with Pmags and OEM mags of all capacities.

Seattle slug is my favorite. It’s more of a mag guide than a mag “well” but it works with every mag I’ve used, doesn’t block the ability to slam a low profile mag home, and it doubles as a window breaker if needed. They make an aluminum and a brass version. I prefer the brass as it adds some weight down low in the grip which helps with recoil management.

Unfortunately Taylor are not producing it anymore

The best I find though is what CHP did, albeit, they only have it for the Gen 5 Glocks.

That said - Glockstore’s Thug Plus helps in speed reloads.

SLR makes great magwells. I have one on a large frame Glock and it works great with all base plates even the Cali mags. Similar to the look of a Zev Tech but more functional.

Do you need a giant competition style magwell or a tiny CCW style magwell?

Because the grip surface area is so small I opted not to put a magwell on my 19s. If I were to do so I'd want one that hugged the grip and did not protrude out. On my 17 and 34 I went with a Zev magwell. On that one I liked that it protruded out. Fit the bottom of my hand nicely.

Its for ccw. Doesn't need to be big. I just want it because when Ive done quicl reloads, i pinched my hand seated the mag on a Gen 3 G19.

Alot of great info on here though. Looks like i will go with the Agency one and see how it works with my gun.
