    New CCW pistol

Picked up a new CCW pistol.
Intention is for this to be my year round carry, small enough for summer wear with good capacity and handling.

    Wilson Combat SFX9.
Found a variant build to my liking for a reasonable price on Gunbroker so no wait also.

Comes with a flush fit 10 round magazine and extended 15 round magazine.
I picked up another 10 rounder with pinky extension.

Compared to my Wilson Combat Experior

Compared to a Colt Defender (same overall size but shorter)

Shot great at the range. Handles very similarly to a 1911. I was able to maintain control with the flush fit mag but the pinky extension and extended magazines obviously helped.
Even compatible with my Experior 18 round magazines.
Went through 200 rounds with no issues.

I have a custom holster on the way to fit the SFX9 with TLR-3 attached, as well as a Milt Sparks dimmer special 2 for carry without the light.

For Post 1, that's some nice-looking hardware. Thanks for posting as I wasn't even aware of or do I keep up with the Wilson-Combat product line.

I'm curious - what's the height from grip frame bottom to top of rear sight?

The shorty 1911s such as Defender, Kimber, Para, etc all seem to me to miss the boat on height. As in too long, should be Detonics abbreviated grip frame. Which it looks like Wilson wisely went with judging by the photo.

That's great! I have the same for carry and I LOVE it. Great shooter! I bought mine when it was still called EDCX9S. I was going to get it milled for a red dot but I wanted to be able to keep the original sites and they said there wasn't enough room so the rear irons would have to go. I decided not to mess with it. How do you like it? It's off roster correct? How did you get it?

Looks like more than half an inch of difference.

The SFX 9 is probably comparable to a Glock 43 size wise.
