    Les Baer Ultimate Master

I put in the order for this Les Baer 9 months ago.
Finally got her in my hands today.
It was a long wait but worth it, very happy with the build.

That's one awesome 1911, 6" slide too. Congrats!

edit: I thought these came with front cocking serrations?

FCS is usually something you can have or omit with a Baer. It also looks like OP opted for single side safety

That is exactly how I would have ordered it too...

                That is nice!!
I have a Custom Carry, it doesn't have the FCS either.

I would call Crazy John at 1911 Heaven. It's where I got mine. It was a custom order. Not sure how that would fly in todays market with the Roster and such. He has a TON of LB in stock of all variations. Great guy to deal with and fair prices.

Just checking out the first few in the LB Inventory, there's a few with no FCS.

The OP lives in Texas I believe. In CA, you have the roster to deal with. It will be up to your transfer FFL to interpret the Baer listings.

There is just something the way a LB sits in your hand. It feels right.

I also got my P2 without FCS, with single side safety, and just the standard left side markings. I did get 3.5lb trigger and 1.5" though.

Dang! That looks very nice!!! Do you ever shoot yours? I have a ton of wear on the slide and on the grip. Maybe 4k-5k rounds?? A fair bit of holster work too (4 day Defensive Handgun at Front Sight), plus home carry (no CCW in CoCo County).

That pic was taken when it was new. It has been shot but not much - still pretty much looks the same. These Baer finishes are pretty thin, I imagine they start to 'patina' pretty quick after some carrying and holster work.

I carry a Nighthawk for CCW when I feel like carrying a 1911. It is hardchromed so it doesn't show much wear.

it might sound silly but i really like the way the Les Baer finishes looks after a couple of years and a lot of shooting.....something about it really attracts me.
