I'm enamored with the little Colt for some reason, but am curious to hear other folks opinions on the piece.
I'd love a later model, something with the shrouded ejector rod. Can these revolvers handle +P loads? Obviously not for everyday shooting, but when carrying it for defense I'd love the extra power.
Thoughts on reliability, smoothness of trigger pull, accuracy, regular use?

Practice with non +P loads, then shoot a few +P's to stay proficient.

Accuracy? You'll enjoy shooting them so much you'll get accurate with all the practice.

I owned a '30s vintage and one of the last models from the 90s. Cool little guns but painfull to shoot, especially the Detective Joe Friday version. The trigger guard rapped my 2nd finger each time I shot it. I traded them both off.

I have a late 50's Cobra still in the box with papers, shoot it once in a while. I have the Pachmayer version of the Tyler T Grip and it works wonders. I'd like to snag a DS, pretty sure I'd go for the older style there also, but the 70's version does look fairly stylish.

Ironic this was posted, because just yesterday I ordered a set of black, Micarta grips and a flat-black Tyler T grip from Tyler for the Agent.

Gonna see how that setup works and shoot.

If it's good, the Badger rosewoods are going back on the DS.

Good gun

I bought one of these new in 1993 for about $290 at a San Diego store. It is one of the later models, just before they discontinued the line. I like it very much, as it is a solid, accurate little gun with a nice blue finish. The trigger feel is very good on these. Today they sell on the used market for about $500 and up in good condition. Here is what mine looks like:

I gave an Agent to my wife when she left me in April. I guess, I'll be getting it back in a few weeks when I help her move back from her mom's in TN. They are nice little guns but, I don't want to shoot +Ps through mine. I prefer my SP101 for that.
