Reminds me of the 38/45 Clerke. I don't remember the ballistics on it though, but the intent wasn't FPS so much as accuracy and using a common pistol. I'd assume rechambering a 9mm barrel would work. Dies and brass might be a challenge.

Did anyone else notice the famous 1911 “idiot scratch” from improper reassembly?
The pistol looks dirty, and judging from the die boxes, has had at least some reloads run through it.
I’m sure someone is going to pay top dollar however.

Looking at the pics again, yeah I see the dreaded “Idiot Scratch”. On the left side rear of the slide, there’s a flat head screw…. I’m scratching my head on that one. It’s supposed to be a firing pin limiter.

What is the problem with reloads run through it, its a gun, guns shoot reloads. Also being .38 Casull I bet its impossible to find factory ammo, I have a .454 Casull and I had never heard of .38 Casull

By seeing the “idiot scratch”, leads me to believe the (or a) previous owner didn’t know what they were doing, which then leads to the question of weather or not they did any damage from using improperly loaded ammunition.
