    MR73 and Olympic Exception

I saw the Manurhin MR73 on the CA Olympic Exception list. Does that apply to the ones imported by Beretta?

If not, will the MR73 be added to the roster? Attached the Olympic Exception list.

The Olympic one was chambered in .38 Special only, and that is noted on the exemption list.

The ones you are inquiring about now are chambered in .357.

So, not exactly the same gun. How to interpret that is entirely, completely up to the FFL you might use for DROS, and nothing that anyone here says will change their mind or likely even have any influence.

So call your favorite transfer FFL. This is a YMMV scenario.

A more certain exemption would be single action exemption, and if it were me that is what I would do. Removing part #127 and the associated bits (one of pin 128 and the spring 129) should do it, then reinstall at home

But, whoever selling the gun has to change it to SAO before shipping it to my FFL right?

No. Unlike assault assault weapons, off roster guns can be shipped to FFLs. Then your FFL could convert it, or allow you to convert it on their bench, before DROS starts.

There are a lot of CA FFLs who offer the service. You could also use a middleman FFL if needed, if your FFL is not game.

Do you know any FFL that can do the SAO conversion? And then convert it back?

I know a few of them. I don't have any idea where you are though. If you are in the Bay Area, check with UG Imports or RMB Enterprise - I don't know if they do, but you should ask.

In Placer County (Lincoln) check with Placer Tactical.

In Socal check with 2A Zone or Shoot SoCal
