<STRIKE>Ok, how did you get the Caspian to stand on that muffin pan?</STRIKE>

Bolted an old mag on the pan, the reason i used a pan is because i also used it in the oven for the Gun Kote finnish and we didn't need that muffin pan.

I am Nick. I am a new member. I do not have a gun. I did not give too much thought about getting so to say but a few days ago some of my friends were atacked by some thiefs in their house and two of them are badly hurt. They did not have a gun. I think that having a gun is a good idea. So do tell me and I would very much appreciate if you would tell me how and where I can get one from.

Nice perry. Did you use a jig for the checkering? Which jig?

                  Dncn, assuming you're in Calif.
                  1. Take a basic handgun class somewhere
                  2. Take the HSC test and get a certificate
                  3. Go to gunstores or ranges that rent guns and handle and shoot different ones and different calibers.
                  4. Decide which gun you want
                  5. Find the best price you can.......out the door.
                  5. Take your HSC, proof of residence in Calif., your driver's license with your current address and the same one that's on your proof of residence and go buy the gun and a gun lock.
                  6. Fill out the paperwork, leave a thumbprint and have the dealer submit the DROS form.
                  7. Get copies of the DROS form and receipts.
                  8. Pass a handgun safety demonstration.
                  9. Come back 240 hours after the DROS form was submitted to pick up your gun and take it home.
                  10. Go to the range and practice
                  11. Take a personal defense class
                  12. Practice
                  13. Practice
                  14. Practice

Sorry to hear it, but this is sort of a strange thread to post your "Hi I'm new" post, don't you think?

No jig, i use a steel ruler i clamp between the frame and vise jaws to get the lines started true and then add one line at a time useing the previous lines as a guide.
