Can anyone recommend a concealed carry type holster for the Smith and Wesson MP9 Shield? 187021 S&W part number. A2

I just bought a Vedder OWB for an M&P40c.

    I like Tulster for IWB.

      9,

Forgive my ignorance, what is IWB? Do you have any part numbers? Or retailers that sell the holsters. Thanks A2

The LightDraw® OWB Kydex Holster is an outside the waistband (OWB) holster with adjustable retention that is molded to fit your gun perfectly. Made in the USA!

Use the drop down menus. Does your have a manual safety? If so, select that option as the cut is different.

I use an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.5 and like it a lot. If I did it again, I'd go with their Shape Shift line of stuff.

                  Galco all the way.
For IWB try the King Tuk, very comfortable and concealable.

Stealthgear ventcore mini for IWB. Very comfortable and outstanding retention.

Excellent customer service as well. I let a few screws and retainers get loose and they had them sent out the next day.

Just so everyone knows, a S&W M&P Compact is a different gun than an M&P Shield (and then there are different calibers and versions of each, which may or may not matter to the OP).

The OP's title asks about a "Compact", but then a 9mm Shield is referenced in the details.

Here's an older-school company, Galco, which has several owb-style holster models from which to choose:

Galco offers the highest quality holsters and ammo carriers available. Mag holders, cartridge belts, and all types of holsters. CCW, IWB, OWB, SOB, and custom exotic leather holsters available.

There are several great holster companies out there and it can become difficult to choose a company and one of that company's holster-models.

The Shield and Compact are two different guns, I own both. I use two holsters for the Shield, one is leather from Azula, a South African company. Modest price and well made from bull hide. Tho other is a Concealment express in Kydex, has adjustable retention and fit my Shield perfectly with a green Crimson Trace laser mounted.
