There's no reason for buying new at MSRP, guns are available and plentiful on dealer's shelves, at least they are here in Free America, no reason they shouldn't be in Occupied California.

Glock 17 or 19 going rate is anywhere between $500.00 - $650.00, same for S&W M&P, and other plastic guns. Caveat emptor.

I just don’t see it as right to ask $900+ here for a gun that can be had for way less at retail.

Supply/demand. C'mon guys, it is why (virtually) everything is the price it is.

But I agree with the OP, some guns sell at a stupid-high price, not because the seller priced it high, but because the buyer didn't know better.

The more we educate buyers the faster prices will fall.

I have to admit, I often will look up various items that are for sale when I think
"that price seems a bit steep". And while yes things are night and day here in Arizona I often will see asking prices that are twice to 2 1/2 times msrp.

I can understand RR.44's disdain for that, even though someone is sure to say "people can ask what they want". That's true and most just move on but it doesn't hurt to point our deals elsewhere either.

In consideration of everyone's feelings I will not be posting what the models and prices are for various weapons we have easy access to here.

Except that he manufacturers are bumping their prices up to 25% on their cost to dealers. They won't go down just like ammo won't go down that much either. All you have to do to is go back a few years when .22 was not available. Those prices did drop a little but not from pre 2015 prices. Inflation is inflation

Nobody's forcing you or anyone else to pay what they're asking.

Please point out deals as you find them.

Strange, you never read, or hear people saying "Man, I wish could sell this gun I have that is in short supply for less than twice MSRP...".

How one feels about inflated prices for goods in demand depends entirely on which side of the transaction they sit.

And yeah, the used gun market in AZ is as stupid as it is in California. Everyone thinks they're going to get $800.00 for a Glock 17 is insane, and to back this point up, they don't seem to be selling well on the used market.

It appears the gun supply chain is catching up with the demand, now if people would just sit back and wait, the prices would come down next.

Yeah, familiar with them. Prices people are asking are still too much, I just saw a Gen 5 G17 for $499.99 at Tombstone Tactical. Only way to get one cheaper than that is GSSF, and for me that's a 100+ mile drive. Each way.

Wasn't directed at you specifically, apologies if it came across that way.

And I'm serious, if anyone finds deals, point them out.

I also don't have a problem with people letting someone asking $900.00 for a Gen 3 G17 know that the same gun can be had brand new for $500.00.

And I'll never understand the $2,500.00 Glock 34 with the milled slide, and all sorts of other Gucci goodies added that people are trying to sell.

Or the guy selling a G17 top end or bottom end for $500.00, when I can get a gun for that.

Or the $3,000.00 CZ Shadow 2.

I could go on forever, but you get my drift. I don't understand people willing to spend that much on a toy, but that's me. Others see it as the price of admission, and good on them.

I'm just glad the option exists via the marketplace to buy one of those if I ever changed my mind.
