I have a question about the P22 magrelease. As it's oddly placed (not a button, and more inset than button mag releases) and a bit hard to press quickly during a fast reload, what's the best way to press it? Do I use my thumb, or one of my fingers?

I like using my right thumb to engage it. It's just the right position for it. Watch it though when shooting, if your trigger finger is in just the right spot, it can hit the mag release during recoil.Originally posted by Rob454I would bang her till her insurance kicked in. That does seem to be a good way of doing it, though it takes a bit of practice to be able to move only the index finger and not the rest of your fingers while doing it.Originally posted by JonI use my index finger to engage the mag release. I guess I'm used to this method with my P2000, so it carried over.
I do it because I have to adjust my grip to use my thumbs. Using my index finger is much faster.I have a general disdain for the AR-15 rifle and any neutered, useless, anemic, POS that no real man would call a rifle.Comment
