In the end it's going to come down to which you prefer. Which feels better in your hand? Which one is eye candy? When you compare features/specs, which gives you more of what you want?
I have a SA that I love and I would recommend SA."The Gun is Civilization", Written By Marko Kloos

Yeah...agreed with above, it's really a lot of personal preference and features you want. If it's your first, I might suggest an entry level SA.
My first 1911 was a GI.Comment

Speaking of SA 1911. Can anyone direct me to a shop in So Cal that has a SA Mil Spec in stock? I went to So Cal Gun and they were fresh out.Comment

How big are your hands? Mine are smallish and S&W's 1911s work best for me because the undercut trigger guard lets me grip it higher. If your hands are a tad bigger the Springer loaded is a heck of a 1911. The triggers run a little heavier than the Smith but that can be fixed.
Personally of the two you listed I'd buy the SA Loaded. The colt will have better resale but I prefer the Springer."Government is the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else." --FREDERIC BASTIAT--

It'll probably come down to a Colt XSE or a Springfield Loaded. Both are great, both with rattle, but only one will be sans firing pin safety.
Got a price range in mind?Comment

Get the pistol that you like the most and can afford. The trigger is very easy to change out. It can be done the first time you take it all the way down for a complete cleaning and lube. It can also be done as part of a trigger job.No one arrives in Hell surprised. (St. Robert Bellarmine)Comment

Get them both Colt series 70 and the SA TRP.
