TRP Full Rail replacement front sight

The trp full rail is a bomar cut rear. Every other Springfield uses a LPA cut rear adjustable sight

As far as I know only the full rail trp operator uses a bomar cut

Stock front height sight is .180 and .125 thick. I don’t know the base.

Harrison designs offers rear sights as well as 10-8
I think heinie as well

I like the dawson tritium sights they seem brighter to me compared to the springers

I don’t care for the silver outer lining around springfields tritium

I’ve been using either tritium front or FO with blacked out rear

I have worked on many full rail TRP and I have yet to see any with a BoMar sight on them.

I have attached pictures of the rear sight that Springfield Armory took off my Springfield TRP Operator to replace with a new one since the tritium was very dim. I don't know much about 1911s but my search says that this is a Bomar sight because the screw for elevation goes into threads milled into slides.

FYI for other TRP owners. According to Novak, the sight has the .075 base. The sight below should work for the TRP Full Rail.

Good info being shared. Been needing to swap out the front sight on my TRP as well. Originally wanted to go with a gold bead to match my other 1911s but would have to change out the rear to eliminate the 3-dot sight picture. I guess it is Sharpie time!!!
