I was jealous as I had shot a lot and not improved… so I started taking classes.

My way of saying- training is awesome

Then get a PACT shot timer… and practice what you learned in class.

The gun you have has an option for a ported barrel.

I have no issue with ported for range toys. You don’t want to shoot close contact with a ported barrel.

Trigger- I would really learn to shoot the stock trigger.
    Same with the Glock.

Learn to master the stock trigger. The Glock has a nice reset. Loud click-solid feel in the finger- short break on second shot.

I don’t know how you shoot.
If you shoot at a 3” circle at 10 yards, how many rounds per second can you shoot and keep hitting the 3” circle?

Mastering the basics of shooting and mastering a stock trigger will help tons when you switch to a 1911 style trigger over a striker trigger or a sub 3 pound competition trigger.

If you have $200 for a barrel or another $500 for a red dot, I would spend the money on classes.

Best advice you're going to get OP.

I compete with a Q5 and had a Vortex Venom on it. I have no issues with the trigger as it came (and I do have a couple very high end Bullseye pistols to compare to). I would spend money on a good belt and holster, training, and practice.

Spend the money on ammo and shoot it. Worry about rds and ports later.
