Yeah, that's been around for a while, but ya gotta admit that it would make the "Jet Li maneuver" a little more interesting!
"I've always followed my father's advice: he told me, first to always keep my word and, second, to never insult anybody unintentionally. If I insult you, you can be damn sure I intend to. And, third, he told me not to go around looking for trouble."

Is there a validity to have that when you already have the gun?

To use it when you are out of ammo? Rather than throwing away your gun to your opponent

It's not a new idea, old single shots and revolvers had blades attached, but that was whne guns were cap and ball or flintlock where fast reloading was inpossible, do you really need this now?

Y'all remember Equilibrium with Christian Bale? Futuristic movie with Grammaton Clerics. They practiced GunKata which was a form of martial arts with guns. They had an integrated "blade" at the end of their firearms.

I don't think that was intended to be used as a blade. It looked to function more like a muzzle brake, if anything. It was never used to stab, though the baseplates of the magazines were used for smashing skulls.

                          Blade not?

I doubt that the rails on many polymer guns could handle the leverage that a blade being used would put on it.

If I had a bladed gun, I'd want the blade to be the main thing.
