Hey Now! Another Sirius fan?took 14 inch custom SSK .460 S&W Encore to range for Chrono testing --
and some fun with water bottles.
275 grain Hornady bullets at 2100 Fps...
SSK Huge *** muzzle brake made even the stoutest factory loads not so bad, Next week will shoot against S&W .460 revolver...The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

Okay -- 14 inch SSk Encore versus 8 3/8" S&W .460 SW magnum --
Chrono? 400 FPS loss in that four inches of barrel and barrel cylinder gap
With lighter factory loads the Revolver was easier to shoot -- easier to hold --
with the heaviest factory loads and some primer flattening handloads at around 2600 fps, the Encore was the choice.

And remember, the S&W revolver also will shoot 454 Casull (they were like shooting 44 specials in 44 mag) and even 45 Long COlt ammo. The gun that does it all!Comment
