A friend of mine is trying to sell me a steyr SPP. I see it as an off-roaster pistol. At what price point should I accept it? Is it worth it to own one? As collectible?

The design was sold to B&T and now it is sold as the TP9. B&T fans say the TP9 really shines as an SBR, but as a pistol, it is awkward.
The TP9 is probably one of the few B&T guns I’d never own.sigpic

No. It's nothing any more special or capable than a Glock.
The TMP makes sense. But in semi-auto, it's essentially a Glock - but with the top-end the size of a brick, and not as accurate as a Glock.
Don't waste your money.-----------------------------------------------

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment

Nice - you must have paid around $699 for it at the time... used to see these in Shotgun News for that price, tagline for the ad was "Very Neat!" or something similar. Did wish I picked one up at the time as well, though I guess it seems the consensus here is that it's not worhwhile.. Does make for a nice conversation piece though.
