    Springfield Loaded 1911 roster question

    Hi All,

Can anyone tell me if a Springfield Loaded 1911 model PX9109L is legal in California?

This model is listed on both the "Certified" DOJ handgun list and the "De-Certified" DOJ handgun list. Of course, Springfield also makes a similar California model PX9109LCA which is not specifically listed on the roster.

Sorry, this question probably comes up often. I searched old threads and couldn't find a definitive answer. Thanks for any help!

PX9109L's on the Roster until 01JAN22.

The "off roster" is for the old, expired cert.

You go with what is on the certified list which is listed as PX9109L.

      "Springfield Armory PX9109L
(ambi safety) / Carbon Steel Pistol"

Now, when you look at vendors sites and/or when you receive your gun, on the box, it may be marked as:

PX9109LP, (P)for package, includes holster and mag pouch.

      or

      PX9109LCA, (CA) for California compliant.

      All same gun.

        Not necessarily so.

"CA" models - include all the "nanny" features fiated by the People's Republic of Californicatestan for sale w/in the Soviet Province.

Non-CA models - do not. (although may anyway) as they can be a "compliant" out-of-Province purchase shipped in.

Especially w/ 1911's, as they are grandfathered.

Just got mine out of jail last Monday, last two on the box LP, which was the package.
