Glock armorer certification class?

Anyone know if there is any class offer to regular John Doe like us? I check NRA site and they offer for free (in NRA-HQ - VA)... but only for LEO, etc.

If anyone know of the class, please let me know - I am in the Bay Area (Nor Cal).

Make friends with your funstore owners and gunsmiths and you might find someone to "sponsor" you for the official course. There is at least one forum member who is glock certified and doesn't work in a shop or for LEO.

Glock only offers their armorers class to LEO's.

And FFL dealers if interested. It was open to any of our range officers if they wanted to pay.

Do you want to take the course to work on your own guns or make a business out of it?

Glocks are all the same and aren't that complex. I've been told the Armorers class doesn't teach anything more than inspection, disassembly and assembly. They don't focus on measuring parts, checking clearances or fitting oversized part or modifing parts. So get your Glock out and take it appart and put it back together a dozen times and you've got it. If you have a question on how to get something appart post it here and I or someone else will tell you how to get it appart and back together.

If you want to modify them you'll need bravery/foolishness (my strong suit), a few tools and a few bucks for the parts you ruin along the way, either that or take a gunsmith course.

You will need to be employed or sponsored by a Glock Stocking Dealer in order to attend the class and be able to order parts direct from Glock... he he he
