    Glock 27, converting .40 to 9mm refresh.

Hey, i bought a completely different glock 26 slide (Gunslinger armory dark multicam LOOKS FREAKIN SWEEEET) and temporarily using a 19 barrel to do the 9mm conversion on my 27 lower.

I ran into the part where i believe i need to replace a certain part as it wont extract the 9mm casing all the way. I read about it on the other glock vs sig thread but my comment got buried so asking again.

The G27 extractor says 1882, am i changing this out to gen3 #336 or should i be using the gen4 30274?

I used a completely new UPK for the 26 slide already.

As a memory refresh, was it the 336 that was having issues and most guys recomend swapping to the gen4 30274? Thats what google search seems to say...

30274 is an ejector not an extractor

As above..it's the ejector. The 336 is what you can easily purchase for little cost. The other ejector are very scarce right now. So they ate overly expensive.

Just use the 336. It will be fine.

30274 in each of my Glocks.

I was modifying a G26/27 (different slides). I have extra Glock internal parts and ended up with the 1882 ejector in it. It did nothing but throw brass in my face. Went back to the 30274. They're cheap and I had it on hand.

woops sorry brain fart ejector not extractor, why is the 30247 scarce right now?

what the bad reviews on the 336? my 19 has a 336 and ive put at least 1k rounds through her without any issue, but ive seen friends start experiancing issues when they started customizing things, mostly with aftermarket slides. My buddy had a ton of issue with his rockslide, i like to keep my glocks OEM so this 26 conversion is my first aftermarket slide.

It's scarce because thousands of guys are building 80% polymer 80 pistols.

I personally have never had any issues with the 336 ejector.

Usually you get the ejector already installed on the trigger housing. Brownells had them in stock a month ago. Less than $10 they come in the Gen 4 or 5 trigger housing.

They are out of stock now.

Just go to Brownells and make a account. It's free place a backorder. They won't charge your account until it ships.

They are a good company, just kind of expensive.

Both gen 4 and gen 5 trigger housing with ejector are in stock at glockstore, you can't buy ejector only but remove the ejector from these and install it to the gen 3 trigger housing will take care of it (youtube has the how):
                  gen 4 https://www.glockstore.com/Glock-Tri...g-with-Ejector
                  gen 5 https://www.glockstore.com/Gen-5-Glo...rigger-Housing

I remember gen 5 ejector (better than gen 4's) is what you really need to solve the problem. But if you don't have the ejection problem then leave the gen 3 ejector there.

To completely change to 9mm, you'd need a 9mm extractor , a 9m ejector and and the 9mm striker, plus the 9mm barrel (not the conversion barrel), and of course the mag. Better to set it up in a separate slide ready to go, all you'd need to change is the trigger with trigger housing when swap. The recoil spring is actually the same between 9mm or 40 but depending on your model.

The other option is using the conversion barrel then allegedly you won't need the change anything else (maybe need the 9mm mag).

The Glock Store is notorious for showing items in stock, but not being really in stock.
