    Not a 2011

The signature feature of a 2011 is a completely interchangeable grip module. What you have there is a double stack 1911. But very nice - congrats!

    PS - this is a 2011 frame:

Beautiful piece. Let us know how it shoots. I picked up my first 2011 last month and was blown away by it within the first 50 rounds.

        Yup, that's what a 2011 looks like

And it must have large magwell that is completely beat up on the inside. 2011 is a work-horse for high-volume shooting.

Whats the price on mags for that? I have a STI 2011 and they were super expensive, over 50 each I think.

              Not 2011 as mentioned above.

Indeed a very nice pistola! Congrats!

It is a 1911 Widebody for the correct term. Many youtubers seem to use the 2011 name in error. Caspian and Para Ord (Remmie), some of the old players in the 1911 widebody race were not called 2011s. 2011 was used by STI and the name stuck to any widebody 1911. I remember Chip McCormick’s name on these 2011s also. Kind of like ordering “Pop” for soda, do you know which cola you’ll get? Did SVI claim to be a 2011?

Wilson (including specificially for the Op's gun) Nighthawk, Para (the original - the first), and others along with most gun writers call them double stack.

And SVI nor anyone else doesn't claim to be a 2011 unless they want to get sued - because 2011 is a trademark of STI. And though SVI and STI shared the patent after their split, and their 2011 patent has now expired, the STI 2011 trademark hasn't

Nighthawk Custom's high-capacity double stack frame option brings a new level of versatility and firepower to the classic 1911 platform. Exclusively chambered in 9mm, the double stack frame can be added to a variety of models, giving shooters the ability

Wilson Combat has been the innovator in custom pistols, long guns, and accessories since 1977. Home of the Wilson Combat 1911, EDC X9, WCP320, and more!

The modularity of the 2011 frame is what separates it from a double stack 1911. And in particular the use of a polymer grip module has several advantages especially when it comes to felt recoil but also maintaining essentially the same grip width as a 1911A1, as described repeatedly in the patent filing, which is why calling them 'wide bodies' is sort of weird

You will love it! Congrats! I have had mine for just about a year and am still amazed how well it shoots. I had the guys at Precision Holsters make an OWB holster so I can shoot it in classes or competition.
