Thoughts on value?

Hello all, I usually don’t have much issue putting value on firearms but this one has me guessing.

I’m trying to possibly work something out with the seller. Pistol is unfired.
My biggest concern is the MSH, all other images of this particular pistol have a flat MSH, this one is arched. Seller claims it was that way when he bought it, but he is not the original buyer. It’s not unheard of for Colt to do something like that, but it has me questioning the originality of the firearm.

Let me know if you have any opinions as to the value, appreciate it.
Keep in mind this is free state prices.

Here is a lot of two including one UCC that sold for under $2k

Here is one that closed recently with no bids at $1400 - no one wanted it, at least not for that price. It does look like someone changed the trigger and added a magwell. Looks ok though.

And the arched MSH doesn't seem likely from the factory. Does it also have a matching short trigger? Colt always installs a short trigger with arched MSH. That would still not tell you it was like that originally, but without a short trigger you know Bubba was there.


IMO $2500 is a rip, even with Covid-mania pricing. This really isn't a collector gun IMO.
