Advice from Kahr owners

Recently purchased a PM40 and CW9. I know the PM series is very solid but have read about some issues with the CW series as to some parts not built to the same durability. Any parts you would replace or have on hand for either. I owned a PM9 several years ago which was as reliable and accurate as any pistol I've owned. No issues. Expecting the same from these two. You should be fine. Follow the break-in period instructions and just shoot it/rack slide.

It shouldn’t really require any replacement of parts. If you have any issues, reach out to Kahr directly and they’ll take care of you.

I've had two CW9s for 12-13 years now---both of mine work 100% and shoot right to point of aim---no issues---no parts need be replaced...

I owned a CW9 for about a decade. Aside from expensive magazines and a long trigger pull it was a good gun. I don’t think you’ll need to replace anything except for the sights of you choose.

I had a K40 Elite '03 for many years. Shot it quite a bit, never had a problem. Wish I hadn't sold it. Kind of thinking about looking for an Mk9 Elite one of these days.

I have both a CW9 and a recently acquired PM9, both bought used. Have had the CW for almost 10 years now, and the PM was used for daily ccw carry by the previous owner. Both are great pistols, and are shot a lot.

The CW9 never had an issue except last year it lost it's front sight, twice. The original is plastic held on with pins that are flared by melting. I'm sure the second one came off because of my less than stellar installation job.

Replaced it with a Tru-Glo night sight offered by Kahr https://shopkahrfirearmsgroup.com/cm...ght-sight-kit/ that's held in with screws.

They also offer a complete night sight kit for around $90, but the rear wouldn't work on my older slide.

With the PM I had some mag related feeding problems until replacing the springs with ones from Wolffe. Runs 100% now, and have had no other issues.
