My father owns one. It older than I. I put about 400+ rounds threw it. Not a single hiccup. One thing they DO NOT like is soft lead ammo. My dad shot a box of "range" ammo and it was soft nose lead. It fouled up the barrel bad and he spent days picking with a dental pick.

I got the little bit left out by shooting factory fresh

Good on you - any machine designed by John Moses Browning can be depended upon.

I've got a Novak spec ops that I'll post a pic of later today.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

I don't have Browning Hi-Power in 9mm but I do have an FN Hi-Power in .40S&W. Does that count?

One of the best guns ever designed, and John Brownings last design. As a replacement for the 1911, it never made it, but a lot of other countries recognized the genius and beauty of the design and adopted it. I don't think it has ever been out of production.

I have a .40 BHP. I'm quite fond of this gun, it feels wonderful in the hand and is pretty accurate to boot. I'm not too fond of the .40 round, but it is not bad at all when shot from the all-steel Hi-Power.

Another HP fan here! Never had much luck with the 147 gr. bullets. My HPs shoot well with WWB 115 gr. FMJ for practice and 124 gr. Hydra-Shoks for when the poop hits the propeller!

                  Here's an old pic.

Haven't had a chance to get my new 9mm BHP to the range, but I'm sure looking forward to it. Really like the easy break down compared to a 1911.

Only complaints so far are the mag disconnect (trigger play is gritty with a mag in, smooth without) and the thumb safety. Both easy to correct.

                    Congrats and have fun!

I've never been a fan but I do respect its history and reputation. My opinion is purely based on looks. those who own them just love them to death. I was turned on to CZ years ago and that has become my new love.

I have a '72 version in 9mm and a newer Mk III in 40 cal. BTW, CDNN carries very nice checkered replacement grips - which I'm pretty sure I spotted in a previous post. For about $25.00 they are a great deal, fit perfectly.
